Meet Mrs. Grandy!

Hi everyone! I'm Mrs. Grandy, and I am one of the teachers here at Anderson's Playschool. Some background information about me: I started my teaching journey in 2012 when I enrolled in the North Orange County Regional Occupation Program (ROP) in my junior year of high school. I did ROP for two years and, while there, earned my certificate to be a preschool assistant teacher and collected over 300 hours of fieldwork.

From there, I continued my education, taking classes focusing on child development and teaching, and I did more field hours in a dual immersion first-grade classroom. I attended Cypress Community College, Cal State Fullerton, and Ashton University in my pursuit of becoming a preschool teacher. While attending school, I worked various jobs, including being a tutor and a nanny for young children of preschool age. After school, I married Triston and spent three years living in Kansas together. While there, I became a lead teacher at BEBE preschool in the Pre-K room (ages 4-5) and continued to work there until the birth of our son Aiden.

Following our move back to California, I started working at Anderson's Playschool and can't wait to continue learning and growing and helping children reach their full potential! I love the look a child gets when they finally understand something, and I will strive to ensure all students I teach develop a lifelong love of learning and the confidence to achieve whatever their heart desires.
